Nahuel LombardiPartecipanteHi people!
I’m Ivan and I’m your admin / webmaster.
I practice with Patrick in Aikido Montreux, Switzerland.
I see a lot of names, and would be really nice if you feel like presenting yourself!

ruaredPartecipanteHi, I’m Fiona, formerly of Henshin Aikido Dojo, Dublin. (Ray Butcher’s dojo). I have become unable to train as well as I would like to, due to injuries, so I decided to go back to teaching Aikido again. I’m offering beginners’classes in an Arts Centre called Rua Red, starting in January. If nobody turns up, I intend to do some solo practice, slow mindful training, to try to improve physically.Hoping to heal from injury and get back to full training in 2019! 😁

Linda EskinPartecipanteHello Everyone! Linda Eskin here. I am a student (nidan) training under Dave Goldberg, at Aikido of San Diego since 2009. I’m on the mat 6 days a week, lead adult classes whenever I can (once a month or so), and have assisted in our thriving children’s program for years. I love participating in seminars and retreats, and have made many friends throughout California, and a few from around the world. I enjoy seeing Aikido from a variety of perspectives – like trying foods from different cultures.
I started training at age 46. Because of the impact Aikido and vigorous physical training has had on my life I made a major career switch in 2015, from full-time software and online user experience (UX) work (at a desk, using a computer 8-12 hours/day) to being a certified personal trainer, kettlebell instructor, and group fitness instructor. In that area also, my focus is to help beginners feel welcome and capable, and to succeed in reaching their goals.
Since the beginning of my Aikido journey I have written about my on- and off-the-mat Aikido experiences and epiphanies at my website, Grab My Wrist – Aikido. I have several books in the works. My intent is that 2019 will finally be the year I complete a few of them, starting with Aikido to Zanshin – 26 Essays on the Martial Art of Peace. My writing is especially focused on on sharing about the art and helping adult beginners feel more confident and continue with their training. I’m also working on a book for very young students.
I’m glad to be a part of this exciting new community, and am looking forward to watching it grow. Our big annual Evolutionary Aikido seminar with Patrick and Dave Senseis is coming up in the middle of February 2019. I hope see some new faces there. If not, I’ll see you here!
